In conjunction with PowerPac, CJSF members are putting together a Pledge Against Bullying banner for students to sign. If you are interested in helping with the banner, please talk to Ms. Ryan. 


Do you have a family member or friend in the military? Are you looking for support during deployment? Or, do you want to support other students? The Military BRATs and Friends Club is a safe place for students of military personnel to gather, grow, and support each other during this rough time. Our first meeting is on Wednesday, October 18th, in Room 29 at lunch. Bring your lunch and your friends!


Due to early release day the Student Council meeting for October 19th has been canceled. Please stay tuned for information on the next meeting.


Students:  If you want to enjoy the water that the district supplies there are certain rules that you need to follow:  Please wait patiently in line to obtain your water, you are allowed one bottle of water at a time, please write your names on the bottle with the markers provided on the counter.  Thank you.


Attention ALL Creekside students:  We still have openings to attend the upcoming field trip to the CV Center for the Arts to watch Luna Mexicana, a dance and music celebration of the Mexican Holiday, Dia de los Muertos performed by an Oakland Ballet Company.  We are opening it up to ALL students.  The field trip will take place on Thursday, October 26th.  Please pick up a permission slip in the counseling office and return it signed to Mrs. Fuentes by Friday, October 20th.  We have limited space so first come first served!


Are you interested in getting a jumpstart on college and career readiness? Civic Pride in partnership with Peralta Community College District is hosting the "Knowledge is Power" Leadership Conference for middle school students on Saturday October 21st, at Laney College in Oakland. Registration is open online at Early registration is encouraged as space may be limited. Civic Pride is also hosting the 2017 Civic Engagement Essay Contest for middle school students. Essay Contest winners MUST attend the 'Knowledge is Power' Conference to receive cash awards, prizes, and certificates. A 'Certificate of Achievement' will be given each contestant submitting a qualifying entry at the Conference.
