A special shoutout to all who attended or participated in the ladies’ flag football game on Friday, it was a great game and great show of school spirit! Congrats to the Sophomore and Senior team on the victory!

Attention all students and staff! There are only 3 more performances to the spring musical "Mary Poppins". Performances will be this Friday and Saturday at 7 and Sunday at 2PM. Tickets are available online, at the adult school, or at the box office Thursday and Friday after school. Due to the popularity of this hit musical, it is strongly recommended you buy tickets in advance as performances may sell out. Don't miss it!

Seniors: Do not forget to take a look at the Castro Valley Educational Foundation's Scholarship page. They have a lot of scholarships to offer and are just waiting for the perfect candidates to apply. Come to the College and Career Center if you have questions regarding these scholarships. The deadline to apply is fast approaching. All CVEF scholarship applications must be submitted by 11:30 PM on April 1st.
Attention students! If you haven't bought your yearbook yet, come down to the finance office. It's on sale for $80 for a limited quantity! It's first come first serve so buy your yearbooks now.
Attention seniors! Do you want your car featured in the yearbook? If so, please email a picture of you and your car to email@example.com! This is a senior-exclusive event so act soon.
Students during the lunch period if you go off campus or stay on campus please remember to pick up your trash. We want to keep the Castro Valley community clean.
PROM PROM PROM! We are less than two weeks away from Junior Prom! This week tickets are $85 each. Be sure to bring your filled out behavior contract and your money. Also, if you would like to send in your promposal, send it to anyone in leadership. The contest will end tomorrow, and the winner will get free prom tickets!
Attention Seniors: The Class of 2016 $1,000 Scholarship, is still open until April 14th! go to the college and career center for more info!
If you enjoy dancing or love to watch a wide variety of skilled dancers, come to Urbanize's very first dance showcase to see amazing dancers from around the bay on April 7th from 6pm-8pm. Check out urbanizes’ instagram page for more information.
Attention students wanting to take AP tests: Late AP registration is going now until Wednesday March 22nd. Students are able to pay online or can pay by check only in House 1 and House 2. Late registration fees apply. Fee waivers will not be accepted.
Do you like supporting small businesses? Well, Pampas cafe is an Argentinian empanada and pastry restaurant that recently opened in CV. Our school will be having a fundraiser at Pampas Cafe every Wednesday of March, so come out to support this small business and also the school at the same time! In addition, save 10% off your purchase by showing your ID or a flyer!
Days of Diversity are coming! Buy a Latinos United T-shirt in Room 902 this month for $15 to show pride in our school's diversity! In honor of Days of Diversity and Cesar Chavez month, Latinos United shares this inspiring thought from the great human rights activist: "You are never strong enough that you don't need help." Take time today to thank those who have helped you, or time to ask for help with something that's been difficult for you. Si se puede! Yes we can!
Finally, Happy Days of Diversity Week! To kick off Days of Diversity Week, we will be hosting lunch time activities everyday this week. Starting today, we will display a poster on the stage, or in the gym depending on the weather, that has the prompt “I am…” Feel free to stop by and write a little about your culture or yourself in response to this prompt. Some examples include “i am… Proud to be a woman” or “I am... proud to be American” and so on.
On Tuesday, we will be having the amazing Bongo player, Pope Flynn to entertain us with amazing music. On Wednesday, we will have a club day to explore different topics and cultures. On Thursday, we will an activity called breaking down walls, where you can put yourself in another person’s shoes. And on Friday we will be having a Culture Activity Fair, where you can play children's Games from all around the world! We hope to see you there!
