Castro Valley Center for the Arts
The Castro Valley Center for the Arts (CFA) is a state of the art venue with a 520 seat Theatre and 75 seat Exhibition Hall. The CFA has wheel-chair seating for eight. We have modern theatrical equipment including 20 wireless microphones, 20 wired microphones, current Broadway level lighting control, special effects lighting equipment, Broadway level sound mixing equipment. It has a high definition long throw projector perfect for movies or presentations. It has two spacious and well lit dressing rooms. It has easy access for back stage loading and unloading. We have a sprung dance floor perfect for dance events and theatrical events alike. We have a big beautiful lobby and fully functional box office. Rental information can be found below. We are now booking into the August of 2017.

CVHS Choral Pops "I Love(d) You"

Rick Gunn: India, Iran & Idomeni

Rick Gunn (CVHS '82) returns to Castro Valley with an afternoon of unique photographs and stories from his latest travels to the slums of Mumbai, the streets of Iran, and inside Europe's largest Syrian refugee camp, Idomeni. Rick Gunn is an award winning journalist and motivational speaker who has bicycled 40,000 miles through 40 countries.

Mads Tolling Quartet "A Benefit For Bear Valley Music Festival"

Join us for an eclectic concert including jazz, classical and Hollywood selections by world-renowned violinist Mads Tolling and his quartet. Two-time Grammy winner and former member of both Turtle Island Quartet and Stanley Clarke’s band, Mads has spent most his professional life touring internationally. Since 2007 Mads has led his own group, Mads Tolling Quartet. Mads has been featured on NPR and his recordings have received rave reviews in Downbeat Magazine, Strings Magazine, Washington Post & San Francisco Chronicle. He has performed with Chick Corea, Ramsey Lewis, Kenny Barron & Paquito D’Rivera.

Canyon Middle School "Spring Fling"

The Canyon Middle School 7th/8th grade Intermediate String Orchestra and Advanced String Orchestra will present their annual Spring Concert and Awards ceremony. This year's concert, entitled "Song and Dance" will take the audience on a fascinating musical journey performing musical styles to leave you with a song in your heart and a tap in your step! The show is under the direction of Ms. Heidi Dahms.
