Castro Valley Center for the Arts

 

The Castro Valley Center for the Arts (CFA) is a state of the art venue with a 520 seat Theatre and 75 seat Exhibition Hall. The CFA has wheel-chair seating for eight. We have modern theatrical equipment including 20 wireless microphones, 20 wired microphones, current Broadway level lighting control, special effects lighting equipment, Broadway level sound mixing equipment.  It has a high definition long throw projector perfect for movies or presentations.  It has two spacious and well lit dressing rooms.  It has easy access for back stage loading and unloading.  We have a sprung dance floor perfect for dance events and theatrical events alike.  We have a big beautiful lobby and fully functional box office.  Rental information can be found below.  We are now booking into the August of 2017.

CVHS Concerto Concert

April 7th at 7pm

Please join the Castro Valley High School Orchestra in its annual Concerto Concert. This concert features 6 of CVHS's outstanding Instrumental Music students performing solos with the Orchestra. Tickets are $5 students and $10 for adults.

Mads Tolling Quartet "A Benefit For Bear Valley Music Festival"

Join us for an eclectic concert including jazz, classical and Hollywood selections by world-renowned violinist Mads Tolling and his quartet. Two-time Grammy winner and former member of both Turtle Island Quartet and Stanley Clarke’s band, Mads has spent most his professional life touring internationally. Since 2007 Mads has led his own group, Mads Tolling Quartet. Mads has been featured on NPR and his recordings have received rave reviews in Downbeat Magazine, Strings Magazine, Washington Post & San Francisco Chronicle. He has performed with Chick Corea, Ramsey Lewis, Kenny Barron & Paquito D’Rivera.

Brian Copeland returns to our stage with 10 of the funniest comics you've ever seen! Join Brian and his funny friends for another evening of uproarious laughter." Ages 14 and up.

Tickets are $30 for through next Wednesday March 29th and then go up in price.

All prospective users of the Center for the Arts (Theater or Exhibition Hall) must fill out both of the following forms and then return them to David Judson, Managing Director, Center for the Arts, 19400 Santa Maria Avenue, Castro Valley, CA 94546. Before completing forms, please contact David Judson at (925) 699-2988 or our CFA Box Office Manager Theresa Gould at (510) 889-8961 to determine Center for the Arts availability.

The Center for the Arts Box Office is open Thursdays and Fridays from 3:00 - 5:00 PM and is open one hour before the start of every ticketed production.
