Electronic Flyer Approval and Distribution Process
Effective April 1, 2015, CVUSD will transition to a new electronic form distribution program called Peachjar, transitioning from distributing paper flyers to electronic flyers at school sites. Flyers from community organizations will be distributed through email and posted on school websites. This is part of our ongoing efforts to be more environmentally-friendly by reducing the amount of paper copies.
Community Groups and Outside Organizations
CVUSD cooperates with community groups and outside organizations that sponsor educational/enrichment activities for students by distributing materials electronically via Peachjar to district families. As part of our efforts to be more environmentally friendly, embrace innovative technology, and maintain fiscal responsibility, we have transitioned from paper to electronic flyer delivery.
All materials distributed within CVUSD must first be approved by the District Office. Flyers are approved only for non-profit organizations after review by the District Office. No exceptions will be made. In addition, flyers may not be approved if they are in conflict with district-sponsored programs. In order to be eligible to use Peachjar you must be a local non-profit with a valid 501(c)(3) tax ID.
To request flyer approval, follow the steps below. Once approved, your flyer will be distributed via email and posted online. Paper flyers will no longer be distributed at school sites.
- Ensure that your flyer meets the CVUSD Flyer Approval requirements described above.
- Go to www.peachjar.com
- Register with Peachjar as an Enrichment or Community Organization (account type)
- Select desired schools
- Upload your pdf flyer to Peachjar for approval
IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: The following disclaimer must appear on the flyer:
"This event/activity/program (choose one) is not sponsored by the Castro Valley Unified School District. Approval to distribute flyers is a community service rather than an endorsement."
Your flyer will be automatically submitted to the District for review and approval.
