2017-2018 Transitional Kindergarten Enrollment Requirements
Children must turn 5 years old between September 2nd, 2017 and December 2nd, 2017.

2017-2018 Kindergarten Enrollment Requirements
Children must be 5 years of age by September 1st, 2017 to register (born on or before September 1st, 2012)

Monday, February 21st, 2017
Transitional kindergarten and kindergarten priority enrollment for siblings of students currently attending Independent Elementary begins.

Monday, March 6th, 2017
New Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten student enrollment begins.

Monday, April 3, 2017
Grades 1st -12th new student enrollment begins.

Enrollment Procedures for 2017-2018

You must have a valid email address to enroll your student. Once you finish the online enrollment, please call the office at 510-537-9558 ext. 4800 to schedule an appointment to bring in your documents. Appointments are made between the hours of 9:00a-12:00p and 1:00p-3:00p Monday through Friday.
The following documents are mandatory to enroll all new incoming students:

  •  Enrollment confirmation documents (print & return all pages):
  •  Child’s original birth certificate
  •  Child’s immunization records (must include mandatory boosters)
  •  Statement of Residency (all items must be provided)
  •  The Health History & Physical Exam Form (physical done no earlier than 6 months before your child enters school)
  •  The Oral Health Assessment/Waiver Request Form for a dental check done no earlier than 12 months before your child enters school
  •  If you answered any other language other than English on the Enrollment Form/Home Language Survey section, you must complete the Informal Primary Language Assessment Form.

Attention All K-4th Grade Families Registration Information 2017-2018

The Castro Valley Unified School District and Independent School are getting ready for the next school year. We are making plans regarding teacher staffing, purchase of textbooks, and the organization of classes for students. You can help by completing this form for each school-age student in your family. We understand that plans change, but to the best of your knowledge, please click HERE to complete this form and return the form to your child’s teacher or the office within the next two weeks. Due March 18th, 2016.
