Traffic Safety - Slow Down and Be Aware

Please remember during these very busy times to exercise caution and awareness when driving anywhere in our school zone.  There have been dangerous close-calls recently when drivers were distracted or speeding and we want to bring this to the attention of everyone in order to keep all students and adults safe.  We appreciate your support and extra attention for the safety of all.


Jensen Ranch Presents at the CVUSD Board Meeting 4/26

We will be presenting our annual update to the Castro Valley Board of Education on Thursday, April 26.  The meeting begins at 7:00 pmin the Board Room and we will be honoring our student and parent volunteer with recognition before the School Board and community!  We hope to see you there.


Earth Day Clean-Up - Sat 4/28

We are still looking for student and parent volunteers to help with and participate in our Earth Day Campus Cleanup on Saturday, April 28between 9am-12pm.  If you are able to come for all or part of the time or have any questions, please stop by the office for the sign-up form.


CVUSD Job Fair - 8:30 - 12pm on Sat., April 28 @ CVHS

Castro Valley Unified is hiring for the 2018-19 school year. Positions include Pre-K - 12 teachers, paraprofessionals, custodial staff, child nutrition workers, bus drivers, clerical and more!  The link to the flyer can be found here. Please spread the word!


Seeking Parent Members for our 2018-19 School Site Council
We are looking for four parent representatives to serve on our school site council next school year.  Your participation is highly valued in terms of giving input to Jensen’s school goals and programs, and the time commitment is four meetings over the course of the year. The expectation is for members to serve for at least two years.  If you are interested or have any questions, please email Interim Principal, April Wong, at  


CAASPP Testing is coming in May for 3rd - 5th Graders

May 7th - 18th, our 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students will be participating in computer-based assessments in English Language Arts and Math.  5th grade students will also be taking a new online test being piloted in Science called the CAST. Please make sure your child attends school daily and on time during this important period.  


LCAP Community Input Meetings: May 1 (@ Proctor) and May 8 (@ District Office)

We hope you can join us for one of our important evenings of community input on our District LCAP--our Local Control Accountability Plan.  These are interactive meetings where you will learn about our current LCAP and the progress we have made in meeting the learning needs of all our students.  You will also have the opportunity to give input on the draft plan of our district programs, services, and associated budgets for the coming three years at our school sites.  All community members are welcome. JR Music Fest and K-3 Concert, Thursday, May 3, 6:00pm-7:45pm

Join us on the blacktop on Thursday, May 3, for our second-annual JR Music Fest and K-3 concert! In our super fun, interactive music stations, you can join the kazoo band or drumming circle, get up close and personal with a trumpet, guitar, clarinet, or violin at the instrument petting zoo, move your body to musical games and folk dances from around the world--then sit back and listen as our kids dazzle us with their vocal talents!  Volunteers needed! Social Justice Film Series at the CV Library

Castro Valley Community Alliance in partnership with the Castro Valley Library present Equal Means Equal, An award -winning documentary which explores gender inequality, the path to passing the Equal Rights Amendment and how far women still need to go for true equality.  The screening takes place the CV Library on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at 2:00 PM.  For more information on this free community event, please visit the website
