Jensen Ranch Round-Up

Sunday, December 10, 2017

Good Afternoon Jensen Jaguar Family,

This is Principal Dustin Gacherieu with your weekly Jensen Ranch Round-up.

Holiday Gift Drive

Jensen Ranch has teamed up with Castro Valley Outreach again to adopt seven families in need this holiday. Each grade has an opportunity to make a local family's holiday wishes come true. For a list of our adopted families' wish list, see Signup Genius links below. We also shared information about each of the families in the signup, given what was provided to us.

Kindergarten -

1st Grade -

2nd Grade -

3rd Grade -

4th Grade -

5th Grade -

How it Works:

1. Use the signup to make someone's wish come true.

2. Place your unwrapped gift by the Christmas tree in the library by December 19th.

3. Remember to identity your gift recipient by including the family #, age and gender. Snowman gift tags are available by the Christmas tree, if needed.

4. Gift cards should be dropped off at the school office for safekeeping. Write the family #, age and gender on the envelop to identify your gift card's recipient. Any monetary donations should also be dropped off at the school office.

5. Santa's elves will wrap gifts and sort gifts to prepare for pickup or delivery. If you are interested wrapping gifts or delivering gifts, please contact Nina Wallkvist at

6. Our adopted family will receive their gifts on Dec 22nd

If you have any questions regarding this gift drive, contact Nina Wallkvist at,

As always, thank you for your support!

First Trimester Report Cards

First trimester report cards were sent home with students on Friday, December 8th. Please remember to sign the report card envelop and return the envelope to your child’s teacher tomorrow. Remember that a report card is just that - a card that reports how your child is doing in school. This is the perfect time for a family talk. Sit down together and develop a plan to build continued or future success at school and for monitoring your child’s progress. Talk calmly with your child about each grade and clarify your expectations for school - you expect them to work hard and do their best. Report card time offers a chance to help your child set specific goals and the work necessary to achieve or exceed each goal.

Winter Break – December 23 – January 7th

The last day of school for students this month is Friday, December 22nd.  Winter Break begins on Monday, December 25th.   School resumes on Monday, January 8th.

Have a great week Jaguars!
