On June 10th, the Castro Valley Unified School District Board of
Education approved the tentative agreement between the Castro Valley
Teachers Association (CVTA) and the District. The agreement
includes the 2010-2011 school year calendar.
As part of the agreement, CVTA and the District agreed to two (2)
furlough days - one (1) student day and one (1) staff development day,
which allows the district to bring K-3 class size reduction (CSR) to
25:1.
The first student day will be August 31st with teachers reporting on
August 30th.
