Tdap Immunization Update
Castro Valley at 100% compliance with Tdap immunization.
Thank you Castro Valley parents/guardians for vaccinating your children. We are at 100% compliance with the Tdap vaccine. The district nurses are continuing their efforts in checking all records for compliance to keep our students healthy while attending school.
The Tdap vaccine will still be required for school entry for incoming 7th grade students during the 2012/2013 school year. All parents/guardians of current 6th grade students should update their vaccine records and bring it to the middle school health office.
Please see you health care provider for this year's flu vaccine. This year's flu vaccine combines the H1N1 with other flu strains. Our district policy requires students to be fever free (less than 100 degrees) for 24 hours without medication prior to returning to school.
