General Information

The Special Services Department is responsible for the district Special Education programs, which are located at all schools in the district. The district serves Special Education students from infant through age 22 and offers programs for students on the Individual Education Program (IEP) document.

The Special Services Department also addresses student health needs.

Additionally, this office is the Administrative Office for the Mid-Alameda Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA), which consists of the districts of Castro Valley, Hayward, San Leandro, and San Lorenzo.
