Community Advisory Committee [CAC]

What is the CAC?

The Community Advisory Committee (CAC) is comprised of residents from each district within the SELPA whose role through that body is to give input in the planning and operation of special education.

This steering committee operates under the By-Laws set by the committee and elects officers to run the committee. The function of the Community Advisory Committee is to advise and to act within the limits of the Local Plan for Special Education and to recommend annual priorities for possible inclusion in the Plan.

The CAC assists in parent education, recruits parents, and encourages public involvement in the development and review of the Local Plan. CAC members also host the yearly Excellence in Education Awards.

If you would like to be placed on our CAC list serve, please send your e-mail address to mhill-gerow@cv.k12.ca.us and we will send you reminders of any upcoming meetings and minutes of previous meetings.

For information at-a-glance, download your copy of the 2011-12 CAC Brochure.  You can also download a copy of the 2011-12 Spanish CAC Brochure.
