Welcome to Proctor Elementary School! Home of the Patriots.

Proctor Elementary School is committed to the success of all students. Our highly trained staff are dedicated to providing our students with a rigorous curriculum utilizing the common core standards and current research based strategies. The Proctor School community values collaboration, respect for others, commitment to providing a challenging, and well-rounded educational experience.

Our Proctor families and the greater Castro Valley community provide key partnerships and support our commitment to provide excellent educational programs to all students. That spirit of teamwork has allowed Proctor School to ensure a wide variety of co-curricular programs are available to support and enrich the lives of our students each and every day.

Air Quality Concerns: Update 10/12/17

Our district is open.  Due to the air quality, we are continuing to limit student activities to reduce outdoor exposure and limit physical exertion. Our neighboring school districts are also open.

Our goal is to limit our students’ exposure to the outdoors while keeping them in school and keeping up with schoolwork, while following normal routines as much as possible. If students need to stay home for health-related reasons due to the air quality, parents/guardians should call to notify the school of the decision, and absences will be excused for illness. If students are absent for more than three consecutive days, a medical note may be requested for our records, as per state attendance requirements.

We will continue to send updates until air quality has improved substantially
