Ms. Doris De La Torre - Long-Term Interim Principal

It has been an honor to be interim principal at Vannoy during the selection process of a long-term interim principal.  What a fabulous school community!

The selection process has been completed.  It is with pleasure that I introduce the long-term interim principal, Ms. Doris De La Torre.  Ms. De La Torre is a Castro Valley native who attended CVUSD schools.  She comes to us from Canyon Middle School where she has been an Assistant Principal for three years.  Prior to going to Canyon she was a teacher and Response to Intervention (RTI) Specialist at Castro Valley Elementary School (CVE) for 12 years.  During her time at CVE she worked closely with teachers to build an RTI program, supported English Language learners as an EL coach and worked with families through Padres Unidos, PTA and School Site Council.  Ms. De La Torre is a dedicated educational leader, committed to the success of every student by involving teachers, staff, families and the community.

She will join the Vannoy School community on Tuesday, February 20th.
