When to Use Tests Kits
Each kit contains detailed instructions for self-administration along with materials for two tests (limit one test kit per student/staff member)
  • It is recommended that Test #1 is administered 3 days before returning to school on December 31, 2021.
  • and, Test #2 should be administered 1 day before returning to school on January 2, 2022.
Please make sure the test is taken on both days even if there are no symptoms.

How to Administer the Test
Test kits are to be completed at home by students (or with help from parents) and by school employees on themselves.Reporting Test Results
In order to receive automated messages from Primary.Health to report your student's tests results, a parent or guardian must have registered their student through the CDPH Primary.Health portal.

Please register your student so that you receive the important reporting links if you have not already done so. You only need to register once.

Next Steps After Testing Completion
  • If your student receives negative test results and is asymptomatic, they may return to school on January 3 as scheduled.
  • If your student receives one or more positive test results or is symptomatic, please upload your results to the Primary.Health portal, refer to the ACPHD guidance and contact your school and healthcare provider. Please do not return to school.

Some families and staff have already signed up to take an antigen test on Sunday, January 2nd, but instead, we highly encourage you to pick up a test kit for each of your CVUSD students and/or each CVUSD staff member on Friday, December 31st.  Please note, we will no longer be offering in person testing on Sunday, January 2, 2021 since CDPH has provided us At-Home test kits.
