Castro Valley, CA – (August 13, 2025) – At the August 13th board meeting, the Castro Valley Unified School District Board of Education introduced Christy Padilla as the Director of Student Services.
Ms. Padilla joins the CVUSD team with over two decades of dedicated experience in education, bringing a comprehensive background in student support, administrative leadership, and classroom instruction. Most recently, as Coordinator of Student Services for the Colton Joint Unified School District since 2014, she provided legal and technical expertise on student discipline, attendance, and safety. She previously served as an Assistant Principal from 2006 to 2014, and began her career as a middle and elementary school teacher. Her diverse experience makes her uniquely qualified to lead the Student Services department, and the district is confident her expertise will greatly benefit students, staff, and families.
Ms. Padilla earned a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies with a Minor in English at California State University, San Bernardino, and a Master of Arts in Education, with a specialization in Educational Leadership and Administration at Chapman University.
