NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Castro Valley Unified School District is in the process of adopting new materials for High School Health Education. Teachers have been working together to select and evaluate new materials.
From June 27- July 27, 2022, the Castro Valley community is invited to preview new Health Education instructional materials proposed for district adoption. All adoption materials are available for viewing at the District office. The materials will not be available for check out. An adoption decision is expected to be made at the August Board meeting.

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Education of the Castro Valley Unified School District, at a board meeting to be held on November 10, 2021, at 6:00 p.m., will hold a public hearing on the approval of the Variable Term Waiver for 2021/2022 for Esmeralda Corona-Pantoja – Foundational Math Single Subject for Grade 9th-12th, Integrated Math 1, at Castro Valley High School. In special circumstances, the Commission on Teacher Credentialing provides for variable term waivers for those who do not yet have the appropriate credential. Overview
Castro Valley Unified School District (CVUSD or District) is proposing to renovate two existing recreational fields at Creekside Middle School, located at 19722 Center Street in Castro Valley, California. The Creekside Middle School Recreational Space Project (proposed project) would include upgrading and expanding the school’s two existing natural turf sports fields and developing a series of accessibility and utilities improvements.

Findings
The Draft IS/MND prepared identifies less-than-significant effects in the following categories: Aesthetics, Energy, Greenhouse Gas Emissions, Hydrology and Water Quality, Land Use and Planning, Population and Housing, Public Services, Recreation, Transportation and Utilities and Service Systems. The Draft IS/MND identifies significant-but-mitigable effects in the following categories: Air Quality, Biological Resources, Cultural Resources, Geology and Soils, and Tribal Cultural Resources. No significant and unavoidable impacts are identified.
The project site is not on a list compiled pursuant to Government Code section 65962.5. The proposed project is not considered a project of statewide, regional, or area wide significance.
Public Comment on the Environmental Review Document
CEQA Guidelines Section 15073(a) directs each Lead Agency to provide a public review period of at least (30) days. Notice of Public Hearing and Proposal For Implementing School Facilities Fees as Authorized by Education Code Section S 17620 and Government Codes 65995
Notice is hereby given that immediately following a public hearing on the matter, a proposed resolution(s) will be considered by the Governing Board of Castro Valley Unified School District at its regular meeting on September 9, 2020, at 5:00 p.m., which if adopted by the Board will implement development fees established by the District against residential construction and reconstruction at $4.08 per square foot and against new commercial or industrial construction at $0.66 a square foot.
The proposed fees are authorized by Education Code Section 17620 and Government Code Section 65995. Data pertaining to the cost of school facilities is available for inspection during regular business hours at the District’s administrative offices and on the district website at http://www.cv.k12.ca.us. The fee, if approved by the Governing Board, will become effective on November 8, 2020, which is 60 days after the proposed adoption of the resolution levying such fee by the Governing Board.

Public Notice of Adoption of Resolution of Intention and Public Hearing to Convey an Easement
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on April 9, 2020, the Board of Education of Castro Valley Unified School District ("Board") will consider adopting a resolution titled "Resolution of the Board Of Education of Castro Valley Unified School District Declaring Its Intention to Convey an Easement to Alameda County for Public Purposes" ("Resolution") a copy of which is available on request and incorporated herein by reference. The Board intends to consider conveyance of an easement to the County consisting of roughly 680 square foot portion of District property ("the Easement"), currently a portion of District property known as Stanton Elementary School, located at 2644 Somerset Ave, Castro Valley, CA 94546.
