Important update regarding COVID-19:
The Maintenance and Operations Department is doing additional sanitization procedures at sites and classrooms including the CFA. Staff will clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces daily in the Center for the Arts.

Tickets will only be refunded if event is cancelled by the district.
The Castro Valley Center for the Arts (CFA) is a state of the art venue with a 520 seat Theatre and 75 seat Exhibition Hall. The CFA has wheel-chair seating for eight. We have modern theatrical equipment including 20 wireless microphones, 20 wired microphones, current Broadway level lighting control, special effects lighting equipment, Broadway level sound mixing equipment. It has a high definition long throw projector perfect for movies or presentations. It has two spacious and well lit dressing rooms. It has easy access for back stage loading and unloading. We have a sprung dance floor perfect for dance events and theatrical events alike. We have a big beautiful lobby and fully functional box office. Rental information can be found below.
Center for the Arts Booking Information
Please note, that due to the COVID-19 Virus, our Center for the Arts remains closed. Currently, we are closed through August 2020. Please check back for further updates in July and August in regards to future months.
We will have further booking information posted soon as soon as we can for the rest of 2020-2021.

Once you have completed the first steps in filling out your company information, please contact Theresa Gould to discuss the Calendar and dates in the CFA (firstname.lastname@example.org; 510-889-8961). Please only pay the processing fee and insurance via Facilitron. All other charges will be handled by a paper contract that is on this web page (click on the "CFA External Request Form 2020").
Theresa will then guide you through the contract process prior to meeting with Patrick Brandon (Technical Director) for the formal booking conference. He can be reached at email@example.com. After this booking conference, Patrick will work with you to schedule a pre production meeting about 2 weeks before your event to review all technical components of the program not covered in the initial booking conference.
