District Student Leadership Alliance (DSLA)
District Student Leadership Alliance
Mission Statement
The District Student Leadership Alliance empowers the individual student voice in pursuit of facilitating communication between students, administration, and the district to promote a safe, inclusive and equitable environment for all.
The District Student Leadership Alliance (DLSA), made up of a diverse group of students in middle and high school, was formed in the fall of 2015. DSLA members are not elected through the student leadership program. They are recommended by their site administrators. Currently, there are eighteen students in the group.
District Student Leadership Alliance members serve in an advisory role to the superintendent and executive cabinet and work with elementary school principals to support their efforts in creating a safe and nurturing environment environment for all students. These students are also active members of the Castro Valley Community Alliance.
