Update March 25, 2020 at 11:15 a.m.

Today, at 11 a.m. the Alameda County Office of Education released this press release stating that Bay Area School Closures and Student Dismissals From Regular School Attendance To Be Extended Until May 1, 2020. The press release states, “Seven Bay Area county health officers, in collaboration with their county superintendents have made a unified, regional decision to extend school closures and student dismissals from regular school attendance through May 1, 2020 to slow the spread of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) to the maximum extent. The safety and wellness of students, school personnel, and the community are the highest priorities of all schools and districts in these six counties.”

Grab and Go Meals - Updated Pick Up Days

Grab and Go Meals will be available for pick up on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays at Castro Valley Elementary School, Stanton Elementary School and Creekside Middle School open to all students. Please see the flyer attached with detailed information.

Measure I Update

Thank you for your continued support of our schools and for our students.  Although initial Measure I results have not yet achieved the 2/3 level required for passage, we are grateful for the community's support and will continue to wait until every last ballot has been counted.  We are still waiting for final results of yesterday's election on Measure I and it could be a few days or even a couple of weeks until we know the final results, as Alameda County Registrar's Office is still counting ballots mailed in.

Public Notice of Adoption of Resolution of Intention and Public Hearing to Convey Property

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on March 12, 2020, the Board of Education of Castro Valley Unified School District ("Board") will consider adopting a resolution titled "Resolution of the Board Of Education of Castro Valley Unified School District Declaring Its Intention to Convey Property to Alameda County for Public Purposes" ("Resolution") a copy of which is available on request and incorporated herein by reference.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Castro Valley Unified School District is in the process of adopting new Introduction to Programming course materials for Castro Valley High School.  Administrators and teachers have been working together to select and evaluate these new materials.

From February 21, 2020 - March 21, 2020, the Castro Valley community is invited to preview all proposed materials. All materials are viewable at the District Office at 4400 Alma Avenue, from 8:00AM to 4:00PM, Monday through Friday.  Individuals interested in reviewing the materials may stop by the Educational Services department, and sign in with the Administrative Assistant. The materials will not be available for check out. An adoption decision is expected at the April 9, 2020 Board of Education meeting.
