Expanded Learning Opportunity Programs (ELOP)

Castro Valley Unified School District is pleased to announce expanded learning opportunities to all TK-5th grade students.

Currently, the Expanded Learning Opportunity Program in CVUSD is provided through a partnership with PlayCV (Programs Learning and Activities for Youth in Castro Valley). Academic support, enrichment and connections for students beyond the regular school day are the primary goals of the Expanded Learning Opportunities Programs in CVUSD. “Expanded learning” means after school, summer, or intersession learning programs that focus on developing the academic, social, emotional, and physical needs and interests of pupils through hands-on, engaging learning experiences.

PlayCV will be offered to 1st-5th graders at CVE, Marshall, Stanton, Independent & Proctor Elementary Schools for the remainder of the 2021-2022 school year.

For the 2022-2023 school year, PlayCV will be at ALL nine elementary school sites as well as both middle schools.  A healthy snack, education, literacy, and enrichment elements are all part of the program.

Outreach for enrollment will be coming to your school soon.  Please watch ParentSquare for announcements. There will be no deadline as this will be an ongoing process. For additional information about PlayCV ELOP programs (The FULL P.L.A.Y.) coming to your school, visit PlayCV https://www.playcv.org/.
